Doing computer maintenance after a few months...

Hi everyone! Recently i did some maintenance to my puter and removed all of the dust in there, its looking great as of right now and so i had to remove the old thermal paste that was there, the performance in game is really awesome!! as i barely get overheats (unless i turn on the graphics a lot) I've been playing MOHAA lately with bots and all i can say is that I'm happy as hell to finally play something without worrying about overheats and such, asap i will try to get some thermal paste to put in the puter soon.

ajdino - Ooh i did not know you could use these... Though i really use thermal paste because its less expensive to be honest

I did used a electric air duster to clean up the computer as when it came to remove the dust in the power supply it end up throwing lots of dust :S Though i am happy that things ended up looking well and the puter actually turns on.

None of my systems, whether retro or modern, use thermal paste. I switched to thermal graphite pads a decade ago and have kept the same temps since the very beginning.

I usually air dust my machines 3 to 4 times a year. I really recommended getting an electric air duster. It pays itself off very quickly.

But yeah, the more love you put into your machines, the longer they'll last.

I'm happy you're up and running! Keep it up.

Giving your rig some much needed upkeep is a good idea, especially in terms of keeping it cool. I haven't played MOHAA in a good while. Even more so recording a clip. Hopefully I can give you some advice when it comes to 'puter-related things down the line.
