1. Who operates Xf1re?

Xf1re is an independent, non-commercial community project operated by the Xf1re Team. It is not operated by a company and is not affiliated with the former Xfire service, its owners or its development team.

Questions, privacy requests and account-related enquiries can be submitted through our Contact Us page. We may ask for reasonable information to confirm that a request concerns your account before releasing, changing or deleting account information.

2. Information we collect

We process the information needed to operate accounts, profiles, social features, compatible client services and community content:

• Account information: username, e-mail address, password hash and authentication data, gender and date of birth. Optional registration fields may include first name, last name, country, postal code and time-zone information.
• Profile information: nickname, avatar, location, website, interests, biography, gaming rig and the profile visibility choices you select.
• Client and game activity: online status, last activity, current game, daily and total game time, custom status and, when applicable, the address and port of a game server being used.
• Social information: friends, friend requests, communities, memberships, ranks, notifications and related activity entries.
• User content: screenshots, videos, blogs, comments, descriptions, reactions, ratings and other material you choose to publish.
• Messages: encrypted private conversation content together with the sender, recipient, sending time and limited delivery metadata. Xf1re does not provide or store queued offline messages.
• Reports and moderation: reports, reasons, supporting descriptions, moderation status and administrator notes.
• Contact requests: the name, e-mail address, subject and message submitted through the Contact Us form.
• Technical and security information: IP address, browser or client information, session identifiers, request time, error information and actions relevant to security or administration.
• E-mail delivery information: recipient address, subject, delivery status, message identifier and sending time for messages sent by the service.

Passwords are not stored in readable form. We store only a cryptographic representation and related authentication information.

3. Public information

Profiles and community features are designed to share information with other users. Depending on your settings and activity, your username, nickname, avatar, location, gender, age, biography, game history, game time, friends, communities, screenshots, videos, blogs and comments may be publicly visible. Public pages may also be indexed or cached by search engines and other third parties outside our control.

Private messages, account e-mail addresses, password information, contact requests and internal security records are not intentionally displayed publicly.

4. Why we use this information

We use account and service information to create and authenticate accounts, provide profiles, friends, messaging, communities, media hosting, game statistics and compatible client features. We use technical, security, moderation and administrative information to prevent abuse, investigate errors, protect accounts and maintain the integrity of the service. Optional e-mail notifications are sent according to the choices available in your account and the service settings.

Our legal grounds are the provision of the service requested by the user, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the community, consent where an optional feature specifically asks for it, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

5. Cookies and sessions

Xf1re uses necessary cookies and session identifiers for login, security, preferences and protection against forged requests. A normal server-side session expires after 120 minutes of inactivity. A persistent login may remain until it expires, you log out, clear browser data or revoke the session. We do not currently use third-party behavioural advertising or analytics trackers.

6. Service providers

We do not sell personal information and do not provide it to third parties for behavioural advertising.

7. Security and administrative logs

For security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and accountability, Xf1re keeps limited technical and administrative logs. These may contain an account or administrator identifier, IP address, browser or client information, time of action and information about the affected account or content. Access is restricted to authorised administrators.

8. How long information is kept

When an account or hosted item is deleted, related CDN files are queued for deletion. Temporary cached copies may remain until the relevant CDN cache expires. Deleted information may also remain in a rotating backup until that backup reaches the end of its retention period.

9. Account deletion

Deleting an account removes or schedules the removal of its profile, game history, friendships, memberships, messages, screenshots, videos, blogs, comments, notifications and other account-related records. Content that must be retained temporarily for an active security investigation or legal obligation may be restricted and removed when that need ends.

10. Your choices and rights

You may update many profile details and visibility settings from your account. You may also request access to, correction of, export of, restriction of or deletion of personal information associated with you, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests can be made through the Contact Us page. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority responsible for your location.

11. Age requirement

Xf1re is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that an account was created below the permitted age or without any legally required authorisation, we may restrict or delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service, providers or retention practices change.
