This group is aimed at gathering those who wish to play America's Army via Assist, and don't want to use discord, or simply want to use xfire for more of an authentic 00's experience.

ADDING ASSIST TO XFIRE

Locate your xfire install (default program data on Win11, program files on WinXP)

Open the xfire_games.ini then hit ctrl+f and find America's Army: Special Forces

Ensure that LauncherExe=ArmyOps.exe says exactly that

If not, edit it to do so

Save the file

In xfire, go to tools>options>games

After it scans, double-click >Not installed

Locate America's Army: Special Forces

In the drop down menu on the right, select Manual Detect

Click the browse button

From here, you will need to locate the .exe used by America's Army. This can vary by how you installed the game, or your operating system. On Windows XP this is: USER\Application Data\25Assist\armyops\System\

Once this directory is located, select the "ArmyOps.exe" to add it to xfire.
