BIOS Clock Right, but Windows Clock Wrong? It's Not You!
Hello everyone. I'm sorry for the extended silence. I'm hard at work on revising and optimizing our XP game archive. I wanted to address an issue I discovered in the beginning of January 2026. Across multiple retro machines - all of which had new CMOS batteries installed, I began to notice that the clocks were either wrong by hours and not minutes - or wrong altogether. The kicker is that all my machines were reporting the correct time within their respective BIOS menus. As strange as this all was, I wasn't the first to speak up about it to my friends and groups. When one of them told me they were experiencing this, I realized something has universally impacted our retro hardware community - and there wasn't going to be a fix - or even a tech news article on this. Guild Wars is No Longer Supported on Windows XP
In my ongoing work for cataloging and archiving MMOs that still have Windows XP support, I discovered that one of my original discoveries from a few years ago has gone the way of modernizing. Guild Wars is now rebranded as Guild Wars - Reforged. As far as I can tell, it looks and plays exactly the same. The rebranding and updating was for the sake of Steam Deck compatibility, which couldn't concern us XP gamers any less. Guild Wars had Windows XP support from its release in 2005 up to November of 2025. 20 years gone - without warning. The only way to get a working copy of the game is through Steam, and even if one did archive a pre-Reforged folder of Guild Wars Complete, it would throw errors on trying to connect to the master server. There are no private servers for Guild Wars either. Essentially, this is the end of an era. Guild Wars is no longer playable on the computers that it was o...

You're Invited to an Exclusive Game Archive!
Hello, fellow XP gamers! Since my original post, I’ve spent every free minute of my life archiving every PC game that came out within a 15-year time span. An archive like that is cool, but not unique. Here is what makes my archive the only one worth using: If a game came out and later received patches, I’ve included those patches. Every game you download from my archive and fully install and patch will be the latest version available. If a game requires a CD key to install or play, I’ve included as many keys as I could find in a text file. If there were community-made cracks to bypass CD checks, I’ve included one. I standardized all disc image formats to just three: BIN/CUE, ISO, or MDF/MDS. Whenever I came across something outside these formats, I converted it without sacrificing any content. If a game has CD audio, it is included in the image. Not a single title is missing its music so...

TeamSpeak Never Left Us
Welcome to my first blog post! I'd like to quickly give a shout-out to my buddy Shaknunic and commend him for his efforts in bringing to light the fact that you can still use TeamSpeak 3 on Windows XP. Here's the very last version that XP ever supported. More importantly than that, if you're an XP gamer, you'll want to hang out in the dedicated retro TeamSpeak server that Shak hosts. Here's all the info you need to join! All you have to do is type in a username and join in. I completely forgot about the fact that there was no registration requirements for the original TeamSpeak program. That is a HUGE blessing in 2025, because it means there's no forced updating. It means that TeamSpeak will forever work on Windows XP, so long as everyone is using the same version when they connect to a server.
